Project Naari has its roots from the very essence of the taboos, myths, and menstrual illiteracy that still continue to exist in the India of the 21st century. Since 2018, NAARI continues to raise awareness about menstruation and its basic hygiene, by educating women about their body and their basic menstrual needs.
Project Inara aims at producing biodegradable bowls, candles, and accessories out of discarded coconut shells. Inara believes in “Crafting future” by training the Irular community in shell craft and generating livelihood to “Remould” their lives.
Primarily, the aim is to tackle the pollution caused by flowers at its roots and hence trying to minimise the water pollution caused indirectly due to this, and provides a livelihood mainly to female scavengers by employing them right from the collection of flowers to the manufacturing of the incense sticks.
Project Pooranya aims to metamorphose doomed fabric into beautifully upcycled products. With the able workforce from Teynampet and Kolathur, Pooranya makes sustainable fashion more affordable than ever.
